Before an operation or an anaesthetic, the owner's consent is essential. In practice it's usually a printed sheet signed in a hurry at the front desk, with the animal already in the nurse's arms and no time to read it.
Signing at home, calmly
The alternative is to send it beforehand. In ClaudIA you write the consent text once and assign it to the services that need it. From the client's record you prepare theirs and send them the link by WhatsApp a few days before the appointment.
The owner opens it with the last four digits of their phone number, reads it at home and signs it with their name. On the day of the operation nobody is hunting for a pen at the front desk.
What's saved
What's kept isn't just an «accepted»: it's the text exactly as they read it, with its version and fingerprint, and the date and time of the signature. The PDF can be taken from the record whenever it's needed. If you change the text, the version goes up, and what was already signed remains valid for what was signed.
| Paper at the front desk | Link by WhatsApp |
|---|---|
| Read in a hurry | Read at home |
| Filed in a drawer | Kept on the record, with its PDF |
| Nobody knows which version was signed | The exact text and its version are kept |
| You have to be at the clinic | Signed from the phone |
The clinic writes the text
ClaudIA doesn't draft consent forms or decide which risks are explained: the text is your clinic's, reviewed by whoever you choose. The tool makes sure it arrives, is read, is signed and is kept.
Questions clinics ask
How does the owner identify themselves when signing? They open the private link with the last four digits of their phone number, read the text and sign with their name.
Can I get the consent as a PDF? Yes, from the client's record, with the exact text they signed and its fingerprint.
Does ClaudIA write the consent text? No. Your clinic writes the text. ClaudIA takes care of sending it, collecting the signature and keeping it.
